JD Sports has reported group revenues of £8.7 billion in the year ending 29 January 2022, up 37% on the year before. In the UK and Ireland, the retailer saw a pre-tax annual profit of £471.2 million up 80% as digital channels continued to experience strong demand and physical retail recovered quickly from lockdowns. In North America, pre-tax profits nearly doubled to £353 million. These North American figures include recent acquisitions of Shoe Palace and DLTR.

Helen Ashton, interim chair, said: “We are particularly encouraged by the strong performance from the Group's banners in North America. It is increasingly evident that the Group's progress in North America, and the United States in particular, is having a long-term positive impact both on the Group's overall performance and its relationships with the international brands."
