Fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop has credited its live virtual perfume consultations for a 45% growth in month-on-month sales from new perfume launches during COVID-19 lockdown. The online service connects would-be shoppers to a perfume expert live in store who can help them choose the right scent without visiting a store or smelling samples.

The virtual perfume service was first introduced a year ago, but has grown in popularity during the COVID-19 lockdown when stores were shut.
