For the four weeks to December 29, Spar posted a 2.6% rise in like for like sales while same-store sales jumped 7%.
Looking ahead, the retailer will now focus on converting “emergency shoppers into more loyal everyday shoppers” in an effort to grow sales in an intensely competitive convenience market.
