Burberry's like-for-like sales rise by 4%

Luxury brand Burberry posted a 3% increase in retail revenue to £498 million on a reported currency basis in the 13 weeks to 29 June 2019. The British luxury brand benefited especially from the weak british pound as tourists surged to its UK stores.

Burberry also recorded a 4% increase in comparable sales, which it said was down to growth led by new product thanks to the new designs from creative chief Rioccardo Tusci who replaced former creative chief Chrispher Bailey last year.
