HelloFresh sees 45% growth in its ready-to-eat segment

HelloFresh achieved a slight sales growth of 0.9 % to €1.95 billion in the second quarter with sales of prepared meals growing 45% to €519 million offsetting a 9.3% decline in sales of meal kits which came in at €1.4 billion.

HelloFresh delivered nearly 244 million meals, which is 3.9% down from last year. The number of orders fell by 3.6 % to 28.9 million, but the average value per order did increase by 5.6% to €67.10 per order. This is in line with the group’s strategy, which focuses more heavily on high-value customers. HelloFresh is still confident that sales for the full year will increase by 2 to 8%.
