Waitrose will unveil its new store concept as it reopens its revamped North London John Barnes store next week (21 August). The store is located on Finchley Road and will have a number of new and refreshed features, including a fully updated refrigeration system, a new look-and-feel bakery, and the first fully chilled beer, wine, and spirits department.

The new store concept will boast a dedicated made-in-branch baguette station, a hot chicken and salad counter, a dedicated Parmesan bay, and a hot wok counter that will serve ready-to-go meals. The store revamp forms part of a £1 billion investment from the Waitrose owner, which is set to refurbish 80 of its stores over the next three years and also open its first new supermarket in almost ten years.
