Aldi is set to launch recyclable paper wine bottles in an effort to “drive sustainable change” and support “greener choices.” Aldi’s own-brand Cambalala South African Shiraz and South African Sauvignon Blanc will have the new packaging, which were created in partnership with sustainable packaging firm, Frugalpac, and are made from 94% recycled cardboard, lined with a food-grade pouch, and are five times lighter than a normal glass bottle. The recyclable will roll out on 18 March, and are priced at £7.99.
