Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn announced the launch of its home delivery service for groceries ordered online or through its app in Belgium. The service will reach around 85,000 households in ten municipalities in the Antwerp region, with first orders delivered on 5 August.

General manager of Albert Heijn Belgium, Raf Van den Heuvel, was quoted in the press saying that the retailer will continue to open more stores and cater to the needs of Flemish consumers by offering Dutch prices, a surprising range and personal service. The group expects to expand its store network in the country from 52 to 100.
