Reports suggest that North American retail giant Walmart has resumed conversations about the potential sale of its British subsidiary Asda. Negotiations had been suspended temporarily as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the American retail giant is now continuing.

According to the BBC, Walmart and Asda engaged in discussions with a small number of outside investors interested in acquiring an interest in the chain. A spokesperson for Walmart emphasized that there is no certainty that it will also come to a transaction.
