Permira, the private equity owner of footwear brand Dr Martens, is among a number of investors bidding for a stake in Gymshark, the online sportswear retailer.
Gymshark founder and owner Ben Francis is planning to sell a 20% stake in the company for around £1 billion, according to trade reports.
