The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames Council has approved the redevelopment of a former House of Fraser department store in Richmond upon Thames into a mixed-use retail and leisure centre. The proposal was submitted by investors Canadian and Arcadia. The building is due to be vacated in September 2020 by House of Fraser, as part of the department store group’s plan to scale back its store estate.

The building’s ground and lower ground floors will be converted into retail and leisure space and the top four floors of the building will provide up to 42,000 sq ft of office space.
