Ocado half-year sales boosted by increased demand during lockdown

Consumers turning to online food shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic helped online grocer Ocado post a 27% increase in sales to £1.02 billion in the 26 weeks to 31 May.

However, increased investment resulted in a pre-tax loss of about £41 million.
