Health and beauty retailer Boots is to cut 4,000 roles across its business and close 48 Boots Opticians stores following a fall in sales during the COVID-19 crisis.
Boots reported a 48% fall in like-for-like sales year-on-year in the third quarter, while sales at Boots Opticians plummeted 72%.
