The Welsh Government have updated the list of goods that can be sold by shops allowed to remain open during the country’s 17-day lockdown which began on 23 October to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

In supermarkets products for washing clothes and for cleaning and maintaining the home, toiletries, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and baby products, newspapers and magazines, stationery and greetings cards, pet food and supplies, and products for the maintenance of bicycles and cars are allowed to be sold.
The lifting of restrictions on what can be sold comes after thousands of people signed a petition to Welsh Parliament calling for the ban on the sale of non-essential items to be immediately reversed.
