In its second quarter, EG Group reported a 12% increase in underlying EBITDA, reaching £214 million, driven by strong performances in both the US and Europe. EG Group’s gross profit rose by 5% on a like-for-like basis, due in part to strong performances across the fuel and grocery and merchandise divisions. The US saw EBITDA surge by over 25% due to successful initiatives in dispensed beverages and improved margins in its grocery and merchandise arm.
While Europe experienced a 10% rise in EBITDA, driven by a strong fuel performance in Germany.

The forecourt giant is on track to finalise the sale of its remaining UK forecourt business and certain standalone food service locations to co-founder Zuber Issa by the fourth quarter of 2024.
