Co-op staff wear face masks early on to encourage use
Co-op staff at over 400 stores in England have started to wear face coverings ahead of the official implementation date of 24 July. The retailer hopes that doing so ahead of time will encourage customers to use them when required.
The Co-op said that they were taking these measures to ensure that the message is clear and consistent for everyone. The new measures sit alongside pre-existing social distancing rules in Central England Co-op stores.
