French retail giant Carrefour is setting foot in the Principality of Andorra, on the site of the former Andorra 2000 store. The plans involve the opening of a 6,000 square metres hypermarket in September, operated through a partnership with the Pyrenees Group.

The initiative is within the framework of Carrefour’s global agreement with the group and will follow the signing of a franchise contract with Carrefour Partenariat International. According to the press, the new store will also feature a “Bon Appétit” restaurant area.
