What you need to know

Consumers may seem to have wholly embraced a digital future, but they are not yet ready to cede full control of their financial lives to technology. While more people than ever are using biometric login credentials and mobile wallets, far more believe in-person interactions will always be critical. Definition

Fintech, a portmanteau of “financial technology,” is an amorphous term that can apply broadly to the application of digital technology to the financial industry, as well as more specifically to the companies and products that utilize those applications. This report will consider:

  • How consumers feel about big tech companies (eg Apple, Google, Facebook) entering the financial sector

  • Consumer attitudes toward security and finance
