What you need to know

Skin conditions (eg acne and spots) are very common among modern Chinese consumers, and they take treatments into their own hands. Taking medicines is not a common approach to treat skin conditions.

This creates opportunities for the so-called cosmeceuticals to flourish in China. And given consumers hold positive attitudes towards the mildness and effectiveness of cosmeceuticals, cosmeceuticals can expand into a broader consumer base (eg those without skin conditions), promoting preventative usage.

Covered in this Report

This Report focuses on consumer experience and treatment of the following skin conditions (especially facial skin conditions):

  • Acne and spots

  • Allergic reactions

  • Thin skin/couperose

  • Dermatitis

  • Other skin sensitivity.
